HE CAME TO FULFILL - TRIAL AND CRUCIFIXION: SHAME AND SPITTING

Messiah was to be spat upon while suffering; much shame He was to endure. A crown of thorns they threaded for Yeshua. They mocked Him and shamed Him all the while they were scourging Him as described in Matthew 27: 29-30 (NIV).

Shame. The emotion we have all experienced and dread. Shame is not of God. God wishes no one to be in shame. You see, guilt brings the revelation “I made a mistake”. Shame, on the other hand, brings the lie “ I am the mistake”. See the difference. Shame is dangerous. One who does not know their full identity will always be shorthanded. That way it is hard to completely fulfill our destiny.
Yeshua had to endure shame for sins He did not even commit. He was spat upon and laughed at. Treated as completely worthless, as though He was nothing but a mistake. Not one worthy of respect, love, compassion, and consideration.
Let’s go to God. Let Him deliver us from any shaming lie we have been believing about ourselves. Ask Him how He had wanted to treat you that day when you were shamed. Ask Him, “Who am I?”
